They represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest twice; in 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweden they came 14th with “Didai Didai Dai”, and in 1988 in Dublin, Ireland, performing the song “Sufi” to finish in 15th place. Group’s name was originally “Mazhar-Fuat-Ozkan” for 15 years, but during Eurovision’85, speaker had difficulty to anounce their names, so their names shortened as “M.F.O.” by Eurovision speaker in 1985, and remained the same afterwards. MFO is the most famous trio of modern Turkish music history and inspired a few generations back to back from 1980’s till today. In the mids of 1990’s group members also published solo albums for themselves. They individually acted in movies and tv series long time. They created their original style, and trio vocal balance. Today they still play in charity concerts and regional events, and still one of the most respected groups in Turkey.
