Outside of select high schools in the city where she resides, Nadia Lucie Pacey, a Canadian musician and songwriter, is not known at all. Her songs have been called “charming” and have retained a childlike simplicity, kept since she began writing them when she was eleven-years-old. Her music is mostly piano-based - her influences include the Beach Boys, The Beatles, Ben Folds, Conor Oberst, Elvis Costello, Kate Nash, The Postal Service, and most of all, the American multi-instrumentalist and creator of the album Illinois, Sufjan Stevens. On February 28th, 1992, Pacey was born in Sudbury, Ontario, and is currently in the process of growing up in Kingston. |
