1979 was a turning point in his career since for the first time in his life he began playing at Tarabya. While playing at various clubs at Tarabya for more than a decade he became one of the pioneers of the unique genre called as tarabya school of electronic music with fellow artists like Arif Susam, Ümit Besen and of course Cengiz Kurtoğlu. His famous quote is “Sevgi ne güzel şey değil mi? Tanrının bize verdiği en güzel hediye…” which can be translated as “What a beautiful thing is love… God’s greatest gift for us…” |
