Nicoya’s talent was evident at the tender age of 5. Showcasing her natural vocal ability to family and friends, Nicoya would perform songs from The Little Mermaid, making sure everyone around her felt her presence. When she was 12, Nicoya, along with two classmates formed the group Southern Girl in preparation for a middle school talent show. After taking the talent show by storm, the trio committed themselves to become professional recording artists. Performing at nearly every talent show in the Houston area, the group quickly became an integral part of Houston’s entertainment scene.
