James Davidson (Guitars) and Phil Kusiak (Drums). Growing up in the 90’s on the music starved Gold Coast in Queensland, the lads quickly drew a strong bond with each other, driven mainly by their love for playing music. |Playing out their teens together in punk bands, Alex, James and Phil decided it was time to try new things and parted ways to individually pursue different musical ventures. Not feeling content with where he was at musically, Alex began tinkering away in his bedroom and started delving deep into the world that is electronic music. As time passed by he became more and more immersed into what would soon become the first formation of Panther DLX. After writing a handful of songs it seemed to be fate playing its part when both James and Phil heard a few demos of what Alex had done and instantly the spark was back and the three of them started collaborating and rehearsing to make the handful of tracks come to life… Once they had refined their live show Panther DLX had their debut show at the Brisbane club Empire and received a stellar reaction. It was at this time they knew that this was something special. After 6 months of writing and playing a few spot shows in Qld, the buzz on the band began to kick in and it was time to record their debut EP “INTO THE NIGHT”. Fusing together punk/electro/powerpop and a little of the 80’s, Panther’s debut is sure to turn more than a few heads when it drops in early September. |
