Peggy Sue & The Pictures is the potentially one off name for Peggy Sue (neé , Peggy Sue and the Pirates).
They are probably best known as Peggy Sue and The Pirates as this is the name they were formed with. However, according to an interview for London freepaper London Lite, “[t]hey’ve dropped The Pirates and will, sporadically, add bits to their Peggy Sue-donym. For this week’s shows they’re Peggy Sue And The Pictures, because Left With Pictures are their current backing band.”
In the interview the band go on to comment, “[n]ext we may be Peggy Sue And The Artist As A Young Man since our new drummer’s called Ollie Joyce. Then Peggy Sue And The 27s ‘cos our main musical influences died aged 27. Our last project will be Peggy Suicide. A bit like the Harry Potter books”.
