She grew up listening to bands such as The Beatles, Faith No More, Pantera, Nirvana and Metallica. In 1996, she moved back to Salvador and played in various garage bands. She was vocalist of the hardcore band Inkoma, and released several albums with the band. When Inkoma broke up, she was invited by producer Rafael Ramos to record her first solo album, Admirável Chip Novo, which was released in 2003. Amirável Chip Novo sold more than 250,000 copies, being certified Platinum. The singles “Máscara”, “Admirável Chip Novo” and “Teto de Vidro” were successful in Brazil, and “Equalize” hit number one.
