Rancid biography

Rancid is from Oakland California. Tim Armstrong (Guitar/Vocals) and Matt Freeman (Bass) met at 5 years old playing baseball. They since than have been in several different bands together including Rancid, Operation Ivy and Basic Radio. They are influenced by many punk and ska bands such as The Clash, The Specials, The Sex Pistols, and The Ramones.
