Ras Charmer was born in Kingston and attended Morant Bay, Oberlin and Kingston Tech. High Schools. At early age, Ras Charmer started singing at various events at churches. schools, concerts, etc. and was a member of an R&B singing group, up until after he left scool. At this time he becomming a true rastafarian bobo ashanty. That its when he began chanting sweet redemption music.
Ras Charmer joined Togetherness Records in 1998 and began his music career with them, recording songs such as “togetherness” and “mama” which have a video still showing on Jamaican TV’s. In the year 2000 Ras Charmer has performed succesfully on “Sting”, one of the biggest jamaican festivals. The following year he performed his first shows in switzerland. Because Ras Charmer s performance was so great, the promoters requested for more. So he came back to europe in 2002 for some concerts in Switzerland and even Scottland (Glasgow). In April of the same year Ras Charmer performed powerfull in Queens Park Savannah Trinidad.
Ras Charmer came forward to switzerland the same year where he started a new familiy and the work of the second album “RastafarI Fulfillment” (Rel.01.01.2004). He is showing his creativity on Roots, Ragga, Hip Hop and even Jazz Tracks with the same rastafarian culture black redemption songs. He’s blazing fire against all injusice, slavery, babylon shit-stem, teaching and promoting righteousness.
Ras Charmer is a blazing Bobo Ashanty Chanter defending truths and rights, justice and equality, peace and love, righteousness and repartriation to father and mother africa. In the mean time he’s burning out all evil conception.
