René Froger, the son of “Bolle Jan”, started his career with a song in Dutch: “Alles kan een mens gelukkig maken”, written by “Het Goede Doel”. After his flashing start in Dutch, he went on singing in English.
In the mid 90’s he had huge succeses in the Netherlands with the songs “For a date with you”, “Just say hello” and “Crazy way about you”.
After a relatively slow period until the start of the 21st century, René formed the “Toppers” together with Gordon and Gerard Joling. The Toppers have performed at the Amsterdam ArenA several years in a row, singing evergreens and sing-along-songs.
