Robert Thomas-Pattinson (born May 13, 1986 in London, England) is a British actor & musician. His cinematic acting career, thus far, has included movies such as Vanity Fair (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), How to Be (2008), Twilight (2008) and New Moon (2009). The actor has also done a great amount of stage work. Pattinson said in an MTV interview that he aspires to be as versatile in his work as his favorite actor, Jack Nicholson. In 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire he portrayed beautiful but doomed Cedric Diggory but was later quoted saying he wished he could have played the role of Professor Snape. Pattinson plays both piano and guitar, and was in a band called Bad Girls that played “rocky Led Zeppelin-type stuff.” For his solo work, he performs under the name ‘Bobby Dupea’. His next projects include the next film in the Twilight series, Eclipse (summer 2010), Remember Me (March 2010), Unbound Captives (2010) and Bel Ami (2011).| |
