Rosita Vai is a Wellington, New Zealand-born Samoan singer who rose to fame after being crowned the second NZ Idol.
Her debut single All I Ask hit #1 in New Zealand and the album it was taken from, Golden, also made the top 20. The album featured a mixture of covers and originals. However, like NZ Idol season one winner Ben Lummis, Rosita was dropped by her label SonyBMG and is now working independently and has released several songs to stream/download through her Bebo (Could This Be, Hey, Set Me Free).
Rosita continues to perform live shows, recently appearing at the Pasifika Festival, Out In The Square and at the opening ceremony to the 2007 Pacific Games, held in Apia, Samoa. |
