Bush was re-elected in 2005, Shaolyn (otherwise known as Lynne Welton) came to the birthplace of hard electronic music: Germany. “I chose to learn German in school, when everyone else learned Spanish and I have always loved bands like DAF. I have also always been politically active in California, so when Bush got re-elected I could not bear to live in that country anymore. So I literally left everything behind and came to Hamburg with nothing but 2 suitcases.
