Discovered by happenstance during one of Fred Hammond’s legendary sold out tours, Shea’s rich, dynamic and compelling vocals caught the star’s attention. As a result of that meeting, Shea went on to record with the Gospel icon on his groundbreaking and introductory compilation album ‘In Case You missed it…And Then Some’. As a featured artist on the album, Shea forged a working and creative relationship that culminated in the young musician’s first solo project, ‘My Heart Depends On You’. Blessed with a gift that defies musical boundaries, Norman’s anointing rings out true and pure on every song. “I have a deep and personal relationship with God, I know the Lord and trust in Him always,” explained Norman. “His Word is absolute in its power and in its revelation, and to me, that moreover than any testimony, I find inspiration and guidance in the Word.” Norman explains his artistry best, “I love to love on God…I love to trust in Him because He always delivers results, there is always an end result no matter what!” Although a virtual novice to the Gospel music industry, Shea Norman has a ministry and message that he wants to deliver to the world. Looking to impart a new outlook on the manner in which we worship, Norman would like to see a change in the direction of the message. “We’re used to pastors and people pointing out all the troubles they’ve been through…all the trials & tribulations. It’s time to point people to answers.” One thing that Norman has learned on his incredible journey with Christ is that testimony alone will not pull you through the pitfalls of life. Blessed with a maturity and wealth of wisdom that belies experience in this industry, Shea Norman is that rare combination of raw talent and purposed ministry that provides a distinctive take on contemporary Gospel music. With uninhibited honesty and love for God, he seeks to create a musical atmosphere that will keep his audiences captive and revelling in the joy of his Word. |
