This group was created in 1967 in Sofia, but it became the emblem of bulgarian rock only in 80-s. The first recognition was by the first place on the “Golden Orpheus” competition in 1967 with the song “Byala tishina”, which was performed with Georgy Minchev. Over the years, in 1976, was formed the cast of “Shturcite”:|Kyril Marichkov - bass, vocal|Petyr Gyuzelev - guitar,vocal |Vladimir Totev - keys, vocal|Georgy Markov - percussions In this cast over the next 20 years, were created the greatest hits of modern bulgarian music.|In 1980 the first album from “super-albums” serie was released - “20-ty vek”. Songs “Dve sledy”, “Sreshta”, “Svatben den” и “20-ty vek” are the best hits from it.|In 1982 was released the first double album of band - “Vkusyt na vremeto”, and in 1985 - “Konnikyt”. Songs from them, including the cult “Ymash ly priyatel”, “Konnikyt”, “Vkusyt na vremeto”, and superhits “Hamlet”, “Enyovden”,”Vylsheben cvyat”, “Momche ot grupata” were released in second and third parts of Anthologies. The most productive period for band was from 1982 till 1986. Succesful tour of “The Crikets” through years is going on. They never betray their public, which becomes numerous and already exceeds the bounds of Bulgaria. In 1987 Shturcite celebrated their twentieth anniversary and released the album “Musketarski marsh”. Then the band arranged the big tour “20 years after”. Former members of band also took part in it. “Shturcite” - is one of the few famous bulgarian groups,that still exsists. |
