Adamant on ensuring he could deliver on all fronts Shwain began dancing; street, popping and locking and fell love with performance and entertaining at 14 and started developing his studio technique going to studios to sing backing vocals and layouts. At 15 Shwain performed and came a distinct first at a talent show and was picked up and managed by Patrick Spence of O.G Records. At O.G Records Shwain constantly worked on enhancing and perfecting his craft for the next two years gaining ample experience in vocal delivery and connecting with the crowd through competitions, night clubs shows and most memorably in Harrow Girls School to an audience of over 700 screaming students in 2003 and had the whole auditorium singing his hooks back at him. Shwain’s voice has attracted the attention of all who can rightly hear and has kicked open doors for sessions with JD (a.k.a ‘Dready’ from So Solid / Relentless Records) for which three tracks were recorded and further drew Warner Bro’s to court him for an exclusive two album deal, which was decided against as it would have meant he would have had to drop out of education. Destiny has prevailed and Shwain has since found a home at G-Way Records where work has already begun on his debut album (title t.b.c). Encouraged to bring a fresh and vibrant edge to music through his enchanting vocals, fitting in perfectly with the core ideals of G-Way Records’ key producer Daniel Adams. To delivering quality records in a sea of seemingly mundane songs (not records) unable to compete in a US dominated scene. |
