They are currently based in Los Angeles, where they released their second album, “Dressed Up As Life” in April, 2007. In 1997, Shimon Moore and Emma Anzai first met at Mosman High School through the school’s music program. They connected because of their shared appreciation for the band Silverchair. They began jamming on Green Day, Silverchair and Rage Against The Machine songs until the urge to make their own sound took over. It was during this time they recruited then-drummer Chris Milesky. Months later, they won Triple J’s competition ‘Unearthed’ with their song ‘Nothing Really Matters’. That same band released their first album, “Welcome to the Real World” where they received an award for Best Live Performance at a rock festival in Sydney, Australia. The video was posted to YouTube and quickly became an internet phenomenon where it reached over 26 million views.
