Two labels, and three mixes after Signum A.D. entered the studio in 2007, the four piece active rock band from Augusta, KS is finally positioned to take the country by storm. Their debut album, ’The Unsilenced’ reads like a who’s who in modern rock. The album was produced by Brett Hestla (Framing Hanley, Dark New Day), mixed by Kato Khandwala (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore), and mastered by Tom Baker (Sevendust, 10 Years). The album is a stellar freshman release, featuring standout radio tracks like ‘Down,’ ‘Walls That Fall,’ ‘Bleeding Sun,’ and ‘Who I Am.’ Signum A.D.’s powerful sound is sculpted by Dave Ruyle’s commanding baritone voice belting viral melodies, Elliott Ecton’s heavy-handed finesse on the guitar, and Brentin Deimel (bass) and D.L.’s (drums) airtight rhythm section. When you mix this all together you are left with a sound that is extremely hard-hitting, but somehow maintains a pop sensibility, which opens up their demographic to more than the typical rock band. The live experience, with vocal harmonies many bands covet, earthquake soundscapes screaming from their tube amps, neck-breaking rhythms, and an infectious energy, is almost guaranteed to turn the crowd into fans. Listen for Signum A.D. on the airwaves this summer, and be sure to request your local station to put them in regular rotation if they are not already! |
