Silena Murrell is a talented R&B artist that shot to fame when she wrote The Braxtons’ hit single, “Never Say Goodbye”. Her musical influences include Chaka Kahn and Karen Clarke. She is mostly known by her debut single “Bring It Home”.
Born in New Jersey and raised in California, Silena Murrell showed artistic talent from an early age, soloing frequently at her church and performing in musicals before she left her home to attend college. As well as completing her undergraduate degree, Murrell seriously pursued music, which paid off after graduation. Murrell was discovered by Universal chairman Doug Morris.
Murrell is currently hard at work on her upcoming, yet to be titled debut album. It sports collaborations with Tricky Stewart, Scott Storch, Steve Huff, Eric Dawkins and other new up-and-coming producers. The first single is the Scott Storch produced [1] “Bring It Home”. Her song, “I Like My Man Hard”, is on the first ever soundtrack for a book, Sex.Lies.Murder.Fame. [2] She co-wrote a song for Remy Ma’s upcoming album, and it is speculated that she’ll appear on it. The track is titled “Life On The Streets”.
