Silverlake emerged from the ashes of 7 piece pop project ‘Vivarama’, formed by ex-Cravats and The Very Things’ Robin Dallaway. Silverlake discovered the creative possibilities of making music on an Apple and never looked back. Taking inspiration from funky house, trip hop, cool jazz and 80’s retro electronica, we’ve set to work on our own journey into audio possibilities. Now it’s time to send our baby out onto the two-lane blacktop and see how she comes back. Maybe with a bad man and a bag full of cash. And if she comes back with nothing then we hope the journey’s been a blast… == Silverlake is also a band from The Hague in the Netherlands. They’re playing a raw kind of rock, with hints of Pearl Jam, Black Crowes, & Fuel. They have played on Europe’s biggest free festival “Parkpop” twice, in 2003 and 2004 and have a loyal following within the Netherlands.
