A self taught guitarist and singer/songwriter, Sophie began singing lessons when she was just eleven, making her onstage debut at twelve. By fifteen, Sophie was being chaperoned to pubs by her father, where she performed with her brother’s band to rapturous punters who couldn’t quite believe this slip of a girl was harbouring such a soulful, emotive voice. Her nineteenth year saw Sophie fly away to London. It was there that the difficulties of her chosen profession became reality. Hosting and performing in local open mic nights, Sophie began writing in earnest, developing her music, and sound, and becoming familiar with the recording process. Despite her experience, Sophie knew she had a lot to learn as an artist.
