You make a living performing and singing for thousands of people. Your face is on billboards. The spotlight is on you. For most, giving up that lifestyle would be hard. For Landon Rose, there was no question when he decided to leave his job in Branson, MO performing as a lead actor in off-broadway shows. Joined by his long-time friend, drummer, and New Mexico native, Corey Eggleston, the duo arrived in Music City, USA during the fall of 2007. The following summer, they completed Starlume with guitarist, Nate Woodall, and bassist Isaac Wriston. While gaining consistent radio airplay and landing a feature song on the CW’s One Tree Hill (“So Please”) with their Get Found EP, Starlume began writing and recording their second release. Drawing from an extensive range of influences (Queen, Muse, the Police, U2, Billy Joel) they crafted a set of songs that sonically demand and lyrically communicate an urgency for change, a need for hope, and the necessity of truth. Says Nate, “These songs are about living life and growing daily. Songs about not being stagnant and wanting to make the most out of every opportunity.” Filled with pounding rhythms, energetic bass lines, smooth vocals, and engaging melodies, their latest release EP (“Lost in War”) is proof Starlume strives to make music that has an impact for years to come.
