Simon is the recipient of the 2010 LA Music Awards Public Service Video of The Year “Deep In My Mind.” “I am so thankful for this honor. It is important to me to spread the message about safe sex and being a recording artist gives me a unique medium to do so in a fun and creative way. I hope viewers will walk away with the song stuck in their heads reminding them of their responsibility to keep sex safe,” says Simon. The music video for “Deep In My Mind” was produced by Jeffrey Philip Block, directed by Andre Holzendorf and videotaped by Terry Davis in Los Angeles during a three-day period. Simon’s dog Benji was trained to fetch and hide condoms in the video, which Simon states, “was very entertaining for the crew and actors involved.” Stephanie Simon’s music has been called “organic,” “honest,” “deeply moving,” and even “provocative.” She believes her art is a way to express her emotions and she uses writing and recording as her own personal therapy. Simon’s motto is “music fuels the soul” and she vows never to hold back. Stephanie Simon is also nominated for 2011 Hot New Adult Contemporary Album of The Year for “Butterfly.” She is a singer/songwriter living in the Los Angeles area with her husband, producer Jeffrey Phillip Block, and her two children, Addison (age 12) and Matthew (age 9.)
