One of the most successful ever electronic projects in Greece. Loosely formed in Athens in the late 1980’s, they completed their first album in 1991. Influenced by the late 1980’s electronic scene, they went on to produce a hybrid of electro-tech sound with rap-like vocals. As the years passed by they experimented with ambient and house, and even dared to collaborate with well-known Greek pop singers and composers. Αντώνης Πι left the band in 1996 and they remained active as a duo until late 1997. Since, all three continued as solo artists, most notably Μιχάλης Δέλτα (Mikael Delta), and Κωνσταντίνος Βήτα who went on to produce solo albums and music for movies, plays and performances. Also ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————- Stereonova is the exciting collaboration of Alessandro Russo aka Slok (Musician/DJ/Producer) and Davide Casaccia (DJ). Between them, they have amassed great experience in DJing, production, hardware and software engineering. A shared passion for Electronic music, coupled with great technical skills, allowed them to fuse all the elements of dance music that have influenced them over the years to deliver an impressive set of productions for our listening pleasure, and in no uncertain terms have rocked dance-floors worldwide. Their releases always generate a huge buzz and are consistently supported by the world’s top jocks, John Digweed, Saeed & Palash, Pole Folder, CP, Satoshi Tomiie, Tendroid, Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, Sasha to name but a few. Radio stations such as Kiss100, Juyce FM, Kiss FM, and KEY103 in UK or Top Radio_Rotationz in Belgium are thrilled every time a new release from the Italian duo is out. From their own studio (NovaStudio in Ancona, Italy), Stereonova have created a recognizable and unique sound from their first debut on the worldwide renowned label Plastic Fantastic and onwards. Their earliest tracks, Open Your Eyes / People Started To Move, Sometimes / Twisted and Tron Fill / Circus EP, embodied of a combination of echoing spacey vocals and powerful tribal drums, swirling synth effects and heavy bass lines, and all contained that wonderful deep feel to help drive the clubber into those dark spaces. Deep Dish featured People Started To Move on their last Global Underground CD! Their last release, Test EP, has gained the same acclaim of their previous tracks and has already taken its golden place in the boxes of Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, Sander Kleinenberg and Deep Dish and they’ve reached #9 in the Balance Promote Chart. More releases are planned for 2005 on Plastic Fantastic and other labels that can only strengthen their position at the forefront of the Progressive Scene and amongst the top DJs/producers worldwide of this genre. Stereonova are also resident on several radio stations across Europe and America, sharing line-up with renowned artists like CP (Bedrock), Dave Swayze or lately Freestylers on the Smirnoff Experience Radio Show in Toronto. They also took over the writing of a column for BeatFactor, a Romanian website. |
