Following 3 successful trips to Los Angeles where they recorded at Interscope Records and sold out ‘The Viper Room’ the band returned to their hometown of Sydney and embarked on recording their career defining debut album ‘Chase the setting sun’ during 2007. The album was mixed in Los Angeles by Will Sandalls (Interscope) and mastered in New York at Sterling Sound by Leon Zervos (Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne, Aerosmith). This highly anticipated release (available late 2008) showcases the band’s worldly maturity and ability to capture the listeners every emotion. First single ‘My Generation’ will be released on May 10 2008. The band was recently announced winners of the rock category in the International Songwriting Competition with their song ‘Somebody Will Miss You’. There were over 15000 entries world-wide and some of the judges included Tom Waits, Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) & Nelly Furtado. This follows hot on the heels of the taking out last years ‘Nokia Be Heard’ competition. STONE PARADE’S has received rotation on Australian radio (Triple M, Triple J, 2Day FM, NOVA and FBI) and were winners of ‘Coca Cola Live n Local’ (2005).
