Before 2005 :|- For years, Pat scribbles song lyrics and ideas onto random available paper, leaving them to collect dust underneath her bed, never revisiting them to bring any one of these ideas to fruition.|- Joe has been playing in a few local bands since grade school, and doing DJ gigs since graduation from high school.|- Cheenou has been teaching himself guitar out of inspiration from his uncle Vue and his idol, Slash.|- Roger has been drumming for his uncle Vue’s band since 1996.| | Late 2005 :|- Pat buys an acoustic guitar which takes her songwriting abilities to the next level enabling her to finesse one of her ideas into full lyrical melody with basic guitar chording. She decides to bring this song to Joe to help expand on it. Coincidentally, Joe had previously written a piano piece that needed lyrics. Joe’s piano piece takes Pat’s initial song idea in a completely different direction, leading them to compose their first song together; TIAM NO. With Cheenou on guitar, Joe on keyboards, and Pat on a cheap $20 microphone, they complete TIAM NO in it’s entirety in two hours and record a rough demo in Joe’s bedroom.|- Although the 3 siblings were passionate about music on their own, they never once thought of collaborating. The creation of TIAM NO changed their minds and inspired them to write and record more songs together. Thus, Suddenrush is born. Cheenou helps the duo (Joe and Pat) but does not commit to Suddenrush since he has two other bands he is a part of.| | 2006 - 2007 :|- Suddenrush decides to have a myspace page created to showcase their rough demos. To their surprise, the feedback from the Hmong audience is a very supportive and positive one.|- Suddenrush plays a few gigs for the Hmong communities of Northwest Washington and at home in BC Canada. Lee Xiong plays bass and Sony Her and Roger Her take their turn drumming to assist the trio (Joe, Cheenou and Pat), during Suddenrush live gigs.|- Suddenrush puts out a CD Single consisting of 3 versions of their most popular song ‘MI NOOG’ to test the waters and to determine if they should continue with their music endeavors. The response is good and fuels their drive to continue.| | 2007 - 2008 :|- Cheenou commits to being a permanent guitarist for Suddenrush and Roger commits to being the permanent drummer. Lee continues to support the band in whatever capacity he can but cannot commit to being a permanent member due to family obligations. Suddenrush goes into the studio to record for their debut album.
