Bronx native Tennille is known for her boom-bap rapping style and whimsical jazz influenced singing style. If you pay close attention, you may have caught Tennille on tracks with the Chicago rap duo The Cool Kids such as Jump Rope and Summer Nights. She became interested in music after participating in the children’s training choir in the Bronx called Highbridge Voices in elementary school. She later auditioned and was accepted into Fiorello H. Laguardia High School in New York - or what most people know as “the Fame School”. She names among her influences: Nas, MF Doom, Gil Scott Heron and Ghostface Killah. |
