Singer songwriter Mich Congdon and drummer Darren Schoen previously played together in High Page Delay. After reforming as the Golden Greys they went in to the studio and with the help of producer Javier Garavito they completed their first full-length album, Hold Up the Vanguard. They were joined in the summer of 2008 by Daniel Davis on bass, and early 2009 by Peg Wood (formally of Ms. Led) on lead guitar.
