The Jammy Dodgers were born in December of 2007 in Gainesville, FL. They played, in the opinion of the singer, overly political pop punk. The band consisted of Christopher Johnston on guitar and vocals (of Ghost Mice, Captain Chaos, Operation: Cliff Clavin, Chris Clavin, etc.), Izzy Alcatraz on vocals (of Sex Picnic), Matty Dodger on bass (of Picnic Lightning, The Mystery Books, Circus Circus, and La Cara Oculta del Rock n Roll), and Rilly L Fink on drums (of The Mystery Books, Circus Circus, and La Cara Oculta del Rock n Roll). After a few brief tours of the south-east and Puerto Rico, a CD release on Rock-It Records (sub label of Plan-it-X) and a 7” on No Idea, the Jammy Dodgers met their end. With one final performance at The Fest 2008, they called it quits due to a fall out between both Chris and Izzy due to a break-up in their romantic relationship, because of his infidelties. The Jammy Dodgers will never reunite. |
