The group has been recording and performing on the underground scene for over 15 years under the guise of different groups and entities until coming together as The Niyat in 2002. Many heads in Houston will recall the others groups as Psyko Ward, The Darkside, Epilfedis, Poetic Souls, and The Blade Runners.
