|After establishing themselves as the premiere headlining band in Houston’s rock scene (a rise that included performances at both the Vans Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos in Houston) and self-releasing “The New You” EP, the band caught the eye of Foundation Recordings, a newly formed division of Latium Entertainment looking to make waves in the rock world. Always looking to take the next step, the band went back into the studio to record two songs with Brian McTernan (Thrice, Circa Survive), and had the mixing duties handled by David Bendeth (Paramore, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus). The standout track “Rock, Shock & Load” has caused a stir on the internet, accompanied by an eye-catching, playful video echoing the often ostentatious Houston rap scene. After being entered in the “New Music Face-Off” on Houston’s KRBE radio station, the song trumped all comers, including many worldwide, platinum-selling artists. The song is now officially the most-voted song in the station’s history. |So what’s next for Thee Armada? The band is writing incessantly for a full-length release, and hitting the road permanently to turn as many heads as they can, hell-bent on showing the world how they do it where they come from.
