Formed during the warm Floridian summer of 2008, This Day Will Tell is a five piece post-hardcore band from the Pensacola, FL with a lot in the works. The band had a beginning like that of many of it’s kind. While still considered infantile, This Day Will Tell self-released a 5 song EP, titled “Making Love Is Easier Said Than Done”, during the early months of 2010. This album, alongside self-funded tours and local support slots for notable artists, garnered the attention of Indianola Records, a small but renowned independent label that has unleashed acclaimed bands to the world such a A Day to Remember, Evergreen Terrace, Casey Jones, Across Five Aprils, and Life in Your Way, to name a few. The band signed to Indianola Records with a dream of spreading their jams to the masses and finally being able to tour the states and have a label-backed album to push. The band hopped back in the studio to record 5 more songs and just ten months after their EP was released, This Day Will Tell churned out their first full-length “Too True To Be Good” through their new label. The album went on to gain quick exposure from magazines like Outburn and AMP, while also being promoted online by the likes of TheNewReview and Lexington Music Press. As Lexington Music Press reported, “This Day Will Tell have released a highly entertaining debut from a label that has been missing in the action for a while now. This disc should really help the both of them.” This Day Will Tell currently maintains a goal to bring listeners back to the early birthplace of melodic post-hardcore alongside active label mates Scream Out Loud, A Tragedy In Progress, Words Like Daggers, Boys No Good and HeartCakeParty. Having traveled to over 20 states to play music and make friends in the past year, This Day Will Tell spent the last month preparing to head back into the studio. This Day Will Tell will be releasing a sophomore full-length album and touring extensively this summer. Stay tuned. |
