Thoughtless Jolly is Christopher Hillier, an acoustic/folk solo artist from Bath, in the United Kingdom. Shot to fame with a beautiful cover of Gym Class Heroes’ “Cupid’s Chokehold” and still unsigned, he is one of a select few who can call themselves a myspace musical hit, with his myspace profile reaching over two-hundred thousand hits on songs recorded in ‘bedrooms and living rooms in a friend’s house’. His first release is in the pipeline, expected to be available on iTunes and as a physical release early 2009. He has a relaxed style to his music, mixing folk lyrics with acoustic guitar, topped of by a soft quavering voice. His influences include similar artists such as Elliot Smith, Iron And Wine, Kevin Devine and Bright Eyes. |
