The Finnish indie pop outfit TV OFF released their first album in 2010, attracting attention from both major labels and publishers as well as music loving blogs around the world. They recently supported 30 SECONDS TO MARS on three arena shows in the Baltic countries and Belarus. In Japan TAKU TAKAHASHI remixed them after the band performed in Tokyo and the remix charted as #1 on Wasabeat. Last couple of years have TV OFF have performed around Europe (including The Great Escape Festival 2009, Ja Ja Ja @ The Lexington London, Popkomm in Berlin), supported acts such as Patrick Wolf and released their own material, leading to a couple of well-received features on Record Of The Day and coverage on Tom Robinson’s Introducing show on BBC Radio’s 6Music. They also have a remix EP released on UK’s Euphonios Records. TV OFF released a free EP called “What They Say” in the end of 2011, available on tv-off.com. Their new sound is a pop hybrid which takes heavy influences from UK bass music, indie pop and house. In March 2012 they will release a new single with a music video and a full length album later this year. |
