Los Angeles based DJ Cory Wells found his deep-rooted passion in house music at the age of seventeen. As for the love of the music and the knowledge of the producers and labels, Cory began collecting the sounds of house on vinyl instantly. Since the beginning, he has dedicated his career to DJing and producing house music.
From the get go the west coast house scene was fresh enough for Cory to find his groove through playing underground parties at the city’s top spots. After five years of consistent Djing and record store visits from San Francisco to San Diego, Cory decided it was time for a move and Honolulu Hawaii was just the place.
After contributing in the cultivation of Honolulu’s House scene, Cory’s drive to create and express himself through his own music intensified. Although he was able to experiment with production, the decision to relocate back to Los Angeles was the step that brought him studio time with his former crew Guided Methods. After three albums with Guided Methods Cory along with another former member, Jah Ques, apart from the rest; decided to set off some more house jams.
Cory Wells’ official and unofficial releases have been rocked and charted by top-notch talent; just to name a few, Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, Wally Callerio, and The Swirl People. Nonetheless as far as Cory Wells can see, he has just “skimmed the surface”. |
