In 1987, Venien formed VON with bandmate Goat.|In 1992, VON officially disbanded with only a ltd amount of demos circulating on the scene. The demos included Satanic, Satanic Blood and Blood Angel. In 2010, both Venien and Goat created their own solo projects Venien (aka Von Venien) and Von Goat, but also recorded their first official VON release together on 7” vinyl record entitled simply “Satanic Blood”. The VON Satanic Blood 7” vinyl EP included 3 re-recorded and re-arranged tracks Satanic Blood, Blood Von, and Veadtuck for an exclusive show release. Goat made new arrangements and he and Venien, Lord Giblete, and drummer Blood went into the Saltmine Studios to record. On the 5th of June 2010, Venien and Goat once again came together with Lord Giblete and Blood as VON and performed in London UK in direct support for the launch of Watain’s “Lawless Darkness” album. Venien also recorded and released at the show an advance copy of the single titled “Tribal Blood” as an exclusive 7” vinyl EP record. 2010 Venien returned to Litchfield Park AZ to record the VON albums Satanic Blood, Dark Gods, and Black Mass, as well as a solo Venien album called Tribal Blood. 2011-2012, The VON recording sessions included guitarist JGiblete “Lord Giblete” Cuervo (ex-Von Goat) at the PIT studios AZ. At The Wall To Wall Studions in Chicago, drummer Charlie Fell (Nachtmystium/Lord Mantis), track the drums for the full length albums, “Satanic Blood” and Dark Gods I. 2012, The Tribal Blood sessions started, and drum tracking with drummer Anthony “Cannibal Lector/The Therapist” Mainiero (Atlas Moth) began. Cannibal Lector joined by guitarist Julian “Xaphan” Hollowell (Kult ov Azazel), Venien, and Lord Giblete began recordings for Dark Gods: Rise of The Ancients and Dark Gods: Ancient Blood to complete the Dark Gods Trilogy of albums. *Plans for and October 2012 release of the “Satanic Blood” full length album and the debut issue of VON’s own underground zine called “Black Mass Zine” are underway. The zine will also include the “Black Mass” EP CD featuring VON and Venien songs. Live show events titled “Ritual of The Black Mass” are also being planned for the release. |
