Wa Wa Nee are a funk/synth-pop/soul group from Sydney Australia. Paul Gray (singer/keyboardist), brother Mark Gray (bass guitar), Steve Williams (lead guitar) and Chris Sweeney (drums) formed in the 1980’s and had hit singles such as Stimulation, Sugar Free, One and One and Blush as well as two hit albums, the self-titled debut Wa Wa Nee followed up by Blush. The band also had a loyal fanbase regularly attending live shows.
Recently, Paul Gray has been performing Wa Wa Nee songs on the recent Back to the 80’s reunion tours along with Pseudo Echo and Scott Carne from Kids in the Kitchen (they are other Australian band contemporaries).
