We Were Promised Jetpacks are a four-piece rock band, formed in Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2003 by high school friends Adam Thompson (Guitar/Vocals), Michael Palmer (Guitar), Sean Smith (Bass) and Darren Lackie (Drums).
They are currently signed to Fat Cat Records, with whom they released their debut album, These Four Walls, in June 2009.
