2) XXL is the abbreviated name for the collaboration between noise-pop band Xiu Xiu and the italian post-rockers Larsen. Together they’ve created Ciautistico (2005), an album which mixes post-rock and the murmurs, shouts and strange sounds of Jamie Stewart. 2007-Spicchiologyy 3) A Lithuanian rave band XXL was famous during 90’s. Their compositions were mostly funny covers and remakes of popular songs during that time, including tracks by DJ Bobo, Ice MC, 2Unlimited and similar. Their well known quote was “We taught the world to copy music” (“Mes išmokėme pasaulį kopijuoti muziką”), which tells a lot about how they created their compositions. 4) XXL is also the name of a Macedonian girls-band that took part in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘100% Te Ljubam’. 5) XXL is a Spanish band. They play a nu-metal strongly influenced by Linkin Park. 6) XXL (originally Dear Life) was a hardcore band from Brockton, MA, named so due to the size of the Shea brothers, Chris (guitars) and Jay (vocals), who apparently each clocked in at over 400lbs. XXL was a local favorite during the 90s. They broke up in the late 90s/early 00s. Chris Shea has since passed away. |
