His music combines rock with Greek and other Mediterranean musical styles. He plays the guitar, bouzouki, and bağlama. He was a member of the popular 1980s Israeli rock group Benzeen (also spelled Benzin). Poliker’s father, Zoko, was a Holocaust survivor from Salonika, Greece. His story is told in the 1988 film Because of That War (Biglal Hamilhamah Hahi), which features music by Yehuda Poliker.
