Yashin albums
Having started out several years ago Yashin have slowly built-up a fanbase that seems to keep growing and growing, regardless of the fact Yashin remain unsigned they are still one of the most loved bands to come out of Glasgow, Scotland having numerous fans not just in Scotland and the rest of UK but globally as well. Yashin originally drew influences from early Funeral for a Friend and Lost Prophets. However, after working with Romesh Dodangoda at Longwave Studios on both Yashin’s EP and Debut Album, the band have captured a distinctive sound with American vocalist Harry Radford and Glasgow born Kevin Miles now fronting the band.| |Yashin like their fellow brothers from the Scottish heartland (Flood Of Red) focus mainly on the screamo genre but have been known to mix it up with acoustic versions. Yashin have shared the stage with many bands including: Lost Prophets, Enter Shikari, The Used, Gallows, New Found Glory, Madina Lake, The Blackout, Kids In Glass Houses and We are the Ocean. They have also appeared on the Channel 4 programme “MobileAct Unsigned” in which they gained suitable praise from Radio 1 presenter Jo Whiley. They have also played festivals such as Slam Dunk, Taste of Chaos and appeared at T in the Park. In October 2008, frontman Michael Rice left the band and in the new year of 2009 his role was passed on to Harry Radford and Kevin Miles as mentioned above. Yashin began writing their debut album with the input of Michael Rice. However, after the first few songs were completed, Harry and Kevin began to develop their songwriting in the direction that the band were happy with and took full control along with Travers, McShane, Millen and Beaton. With only a few samples left to finish, the completion of the album was delayed by Funeral For A Friend who returned to the same studio (Longwave Studios, Wales) and consequently meant the album release was pushed back. On 18th June 2009 Yashin uploaded their cover of “Everytime” originally performed by Britney Spears which has been a fan favourite along with Get Loose! Yashin’s debut single that hit no.1 on Scuzz charts.

============
Yashin’s Debut Album, released on 1st February 2010 is an 11 track salute to everything they’ve known and everything they’ve become ranging from hardcore masterful riffs with sublime drumming technique to much more mellow soft symphonic melodies coupled with very tonal and heartfelt vocals complimented by the bass which just fills you with excitement from the inside-out.
Possibly one of the UK’s most under-rated bands, many have commentated on their everlasting impression on the music community since their supporting tour with Madina Lake when they were stated as being as awe-inspiring as the headliners! Since then the band has gone from strength to strength with numerous sell-out shows that have captured the hearts and minds of the community that seems to grow and continue to follow the band.
Their latest installment of musical genius stems from the album “Put Your Hands Where I Can See Them” recorded at Longwave Studios (The same studios in which Funeral For A Friend, The Blackout and many other high-profile bands have recorded). Could 2010 be the year for this passionate band? Keep an eye out on these guys, they have an incredible live stage performance and will WOW the pants off you!!!
