“If you hate me tonight, you’re gonna love me in the morning,” he says on “Real Talk,” from Tha Paper Route. Being as young of an artist as he is, Yung Redd has got time to prove that. Redd started off as a part of the Suckafree camp as a member of the group H.S.E. (Hustlaz Stackin’ Endz) when he was still a teenager. In late 2005, he dropped Tha Paper Route, a collaboration with Lil Ron and an album that some considered to be an instant classic. When his contract with Suckafree was up, he wasn’t interested in signing with them again, wanting a fresh start with a new and stronger team. That’s would be Swisha House. We jumped at the chance to sign the Sunnyside youngster, and he has since been hard at work doing guest drops and working on his album Dead Presidents, which is due to drop in 2007. |
