He has released one single, We Are Free (on Chess Club Records) and one EP, Happy Birthday You (on Stiff Records), but many more demos are floating around on the internet. The Guardian featured him in its New band of the day section. On a myspace blog post on 24 September, Hayward-Young announced the end (for the foreseeable future) of his recording as Jay Jay Pistolet: “for now, im laying down my acoustic guitar. that is to say, i will not be playing shows or releasing material as jay jay pistolet in the near future. change is upon us but death is not. ill be back. for now though im concentrating on a new musical project that will take me in an entirely new direction. im incredibly excited. stay tuned…” http://www.myspace.com/jayjaypistolet |
