2) An organisation of artists and writers from the Philippines:|ARMAS (Artista at Manunulat ng Sambayanan / Artists and Writers of the People) is the cultural arm of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) which is led by the Communist Party of the Philippines. It promotes pro-masses cultural arts in music, literature, visual arts and more. They are based in the countryside, where their recordings usually takes place. Popular albums such as Dakilang Hamon (The Great Challenge) is believed to be recorded at the mountains of the Southern Tagalog region. They are usually members of the New People’s Army, who arouse, organize and mobilize the peasantry at the countryside for the advancement of the People’s Democratic Revolution. Their works are always in aid of educating the massess, inspiring them to mobilize and struggle for genuine land reform through the agrarian revolution. Agrarian revolution is where the political and economic power of the landlord class, with its cohort class the comprador big bourgeoisie should be challenged and crushed only through the waging of the armed struggle.
