Dem Franchize Boyz is a U.S. snap (music) rap group from Atlanta signed to So So Def Records. The group comprises four members: Gerald Tiller (a.k.a. Buddie, born 1983), Maurice Gleaton (a.k.a Parlae, born 1983), Jamal Willingham (a.k.a Pimpin, born 1984,) and Bernard Leverette (a.k.a Jizzal Man, born 1983). They debuted with the major southern hit “White Tee” and have more recently appreciated radio airplay with their singles “I Think They Like Me (So So Def Remix)” and “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It”. They are considered to be pioneers in the new hip-hop subgenre of snap music. Recently, they are featured on the newest installment to the Now That’s What I Call Music!, Volume 21 with their hit song, “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It.” They have managed to get considerable press upon the release of On Top Of Our Game. They are currently beefing with D4L over the snap dance.
In May 2006, they collaborated with Mariah Carey on the urban remix of her hit single “Say Somethin’”. The remix single will also have video, along with the single’s digital release on June 20, 2006. The remix was produced by Jermaine Dupri. They are also featured in Monica’s new single Everytime Tha Beat Drop.
In 2009, they went independent and are managed by Robert Watson of Atlanta, GA. For booking or other information, please contact DFB Management at (917) 627-9238 or [email protected].|
