On the road since 2005, the short time of existence definitely does not reflect the real essence of the band from São Paulo called Drive-In. |The acceptance from critics and public alike upon their powerful live performance turned out to be inevitable, that in 2006, Drive-In released an EP by the Onelife Records label, with the same name and impact as the band. It didn’t take long for the furious guitars of Fabrício and Thiago, the back line very well represented by the drummer Vinicius and the bassist Ricardo, the unmistakable screams of Gustavo and the remarkable and irresistible voice of Bruna caught the attention of many resulting on what the band is today. With the growth of the group, the invitations were inevitable, like those that resulted on the groups participation on the show “Band Antes” on MTv, many interviews on the most renowned means of communications on the web, like the “Trama Virtual”, “Zona Punk”, “Punk Net”, “Ideal Recs”, among others, and the participation in big concerts, such as the recording of the DVD of Buda Productions, and the opening of the grandiose concert for the north american band “Alesana” in São Paulo.
As expected, the band didn’t stop there, and around 2007, they released their first full length album in partnership with Onelife Records, entitled “Respostas”. Yes, it was the answers (Respostas is the portuguese word for Answers) for all of those who questioned the talent of Drive-In. With the support of MTv, that made all the full length songs available for stremming on the webiste a week before the release of the album, causing a great surprise among fans that anxiously awaited for the band’s new work. The record came out powerful, with performances simply impressive from all its members, and with the differential that the “girl of the band” brings to the group. But even she shows that she is not playing around. Without labels and without discrimination, the Drive-In has firmed itself as a real Rock ‘n’ Roll band. “Respostas” emerged like an expression of the band of what they really know how to do, and they do it quite well. With the production up to par with foreign bands, lead by Filipe Pampuri, in the renowned C4 Estúdios, this new album came to simply present the “Answers” for all the apprehensions of those who awaited for something new and surprising.
