Joanna Pacitti (born October 6, 1984 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American pop/rock singer and actress simply known as Joanna. At the age of 16, she has been signed to a contract by A&M Records president Ron Fair, the man who discovered household names such as Christina Aguilera and Vanessa Carlton. She appeared in some soundtracks, including the Legally Blonde soundtrack in 2001 and in a five track promotional CD released with Mattel’s My Scene - Chelsea Spring Break (Series 2), called “My Scene -Chelsea Mix.” In 2002, the Taiwanese girl group S.H.E made a cover of her song “Watch Me Shine.” In 2003, she was the subject of an MTV “True Life” documentary in which they followed the first year of a recording artist. In May 2006, her first single, “Let It Slide,” was released under Geffen Records and went to radio at the end of June. Her debut album, This Crazy Life was released on August 15th. In 2006, she toured with Sheryl Crow and later joined to Teen People’s Rock’n’Shop Tour in July. Later that year she toured with Nick Lachey. There is a brazilian artist known as Joanna who has had many latin pop music albums released in the 1990s and 2000s such as Canta Lupicínio in 1994 and em Oração in 2002. irish singer Joanne Hogg of christian group Iona has released solo albums such as Looking Into Light (1999) and Celtic Hymns (2008).
