Beginning in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Now and Forever have created a musical project often compared to Thrice, Circa Survive, MeWithoutYou, and Brand New. After logging plenty of miles on their (now deceased) ‘84 Chevy, singer Dan Mariska says, “I feel like we’ve accomplished alot for such a young band.” NAF has recently released a five song EP titled of wounds and blessing…. Recorded and produced by Zach Parnell and Izaac Burkhart (Weaver at the Loom), the newest record is a mix of their previous release, Spell It in the Sky, and a new, darker sound. This intent is aimed at separating the group from what they deem over-played pop music. Inspired by the harsh Minnesota winter, the EP showcases the group’s continual maturity. Heavy touring plans lay ahead of this young band in hopes of creating a healthy local, regional, and national audience. Keep an eye on this hard working band. They won’t be a Minneapolis secret for long… **Now Called “The King and the Thief” recently recorded with Ace Enders. |
