The story of the band started at the begining of 1996 in the city Košice, when two members of the Dept (Ungvölgyi, Rabatin) and Viliam Lauko began rehearsing together as a band. First they were performing as a trio, then as a quartet. The material they put together during the rehearsals and their interest in experimenting and producing were synthesized and subsequently it created the characteristic sounds of the new band. Since Summer 2002 they have already played at various festivals in Slovakia and abroad as well called Puding pani Elvisovej (PPE). Later on they recorded their debut album titled “Automati”. Besides a load of interesting and funny samples there are many featuring artists on this record. One of them is a singer Silvia Menyhert (Ettela Diamant, Abuse) or Jana Kirschner (Best Slovak Singer Award winner), with whom they created their best pieces combining dance music and hip-hop with pop anthems. Automati was released in 2004 in Slovakia by Gregor Agency records. This album has received warm welcome by professionals and collectors alike. It was voted as the best Slovak record released in 2004 by the listeners of the Funradio. In 2007 the released their new record PPE (Play Pause Eject). The PPE band has been performing live ever since their formation. Apart from Slovakia they have already played in the Czech Republic, Austria and Serbia.
