(born Renee Ilene Sandstrom, February 15, 1974 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is an American singer and actress best known for her work on the 1980s children’s television show Kids Incorporated and as a member of the vocal trio Wild Orchid, which also included fellow Kids Inc. cast member Fergie/Stacy Ferguson (a solo artist and member of Black Eyed Peas) and Stefanie Ridel.
Renee also provided the singing voice for Princess Fiona in the movies Shrek and Shrek 2, appearing alongside fellow Kids Inc. cast member Moosie Drier, who did ADR voice work for the films.
Renee Sandstrom sings the Pump it Up theme song on the Crystal Light commercials, according to Kraft Foods, Inc. She also sings in the most recent Disneyland Paris song, Just Like We Dreamed It, with Ruben Martinez.work for the films. She also had a role on the new Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock in which she provided the singing voice for Jasmine Richards character Margaret “Peggy” Dupree. |
